If you’ve been finding easy access to ice fishing and recreation on Chisago Lake by parking on County Road 83 (Chisago Blvd.) you will have to park elsewhere from now on. Tickets are now able to be written to enforce a new rule.

The County Board unanimously supported a request last week from the public works and sheriff’s departments to forbid parking along the edge of the lake on the county road. The no-parking area approved last week runs from a point 830 feet east of the Maxwell Road and #83 intersection to a point 550 west of the Lyman Lane and #83 intersection.
