David A. Friederichs, age 66, of Chisago City, died June 30, 2004. David was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Breckenridge, Minn., to parents William and Pearl Friederichs.

He graduated from St. John’s Prep High School in 1955 in Collegeville, Minn., and Moorhead State University in 1963, and Florida State University in 1967. David married Bette Spain Nov. 9, 1963, at Assumption Church and spent his career working as a social worker. He also enjoyed collecting farm toys and memorabilia and also enjoyed woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Jim.

David is survived by wife, Bette; five sons: Greg (Ann), Joe (Nadine), Dan (Anne), Jeff, Nick (Amy); eight grandchildren: Nathan, Jessica, Zachary, Joshua, Benet, Lucas, Chelsea and Kaitlyn; brother, Robert (Cherie); and three sisters: Mary Margaret (Myron Heger), Rita and Sr. AnnMarie.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church, in Lindstrom. Grandstrand Funeral Home, in Lindstrom, handled arrangements. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, in Lindstrom.
