He was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Chisago City, to parents Frank and Evelyn (Zwirk) Borek. He married Virginia Ayde July 15, 1950, and spent time in the Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Art is preceded in death by wife, Virginia.
He is survived by daughters: Linda (Paul) Payette, Debbie (Karl) Angst; grandchildren: Heather, Mandy, Eric and Kelsey; great-grandson, Alex; brothers: David Borek and Jim Borek.
Memorial services were 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Grandstrand Funeral Home, in Lindstrom. Private family interment at Chisago Memorial Park, in Chisago City.
