Loren Karl Elmstrand, age 45, died June 10, 2004, at Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center, Wyoming, from complications of cancer.

Loren was born May 2, 1959, in Two Harbors, to Grace and Gordon Elmstrand. Loren attended high school in Winona and graduated in 1978. He attended North Branch High School through 1975. He then attended Winona Vo-Tech. Loren served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed mechanics and tropical fish.

Loren is preceded in death by father, Loren S. Johnson; mother, Grace J. Elmstrand; infant sister, Donna Mae; brothers-in-law, Richard Fisk and John Bistodeau.

He is survived by his dad, Gordon Elmstrand; brother, Jim Erickson and wife, Cindy; four sisters: Shirley Fisk, Phyllis (Dan) Hammers, Dorean Bewley and Suzanne Bistodeau; nieces and nephews: Ginger Amundson, Sheila Bauer, Cory and Jeremy Fisk, Jean Kriz, Brian, Carrie and Greg Erickson, Jody Parker, Heidi and Aaron Hammers, Jesse and Jill Bewley, Chad and Rossi Bistodeau, and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the Sunrise Cemetery, in Sunrise, with Rev. Clarence Schaffner officiating. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home, in North Branch.
