Britt Baumann has used his reliable right foot to carve out a spot in the UMD record books this season. The junior placekicker has now converted 48 straight extra point kicks, which is three more than the previous school standard of 45 set by senior Chad Gerlach during the 2003 season. Baumann, who last failed to convert an extra point try on Sept. 19, 2005 (he had an attempt blocked by Minnesota State University-Moorhead), is first among NCC kickers in extra point accuracy this fall (he's a perfect 18-of-18 overall)

Baumann played a deciding role in the Bulldog’s 16-13 overtime win over Minnesota State University-Mankato Saturday, October 14. The third-year regular from North Branch, Minn., had kicks of 49 (a career high), 30 and 26 yards on the afternoon to establish a personal best for field goals. For his efforts, he received Player of the Week honors from the North Central Conference.

Baumann is a 2004 graduate of North Branch High School and is the son of Bill and Carol Baumann of North Branch.
