The North Branch volleyball team continued its winning ways the week of October 9 by picking up two more NSC wins.

Tuesday, October 10, the Vikings beat the Hylanders at Columbia Heights, 25-10, 25-12, 26-24. Thursday the 12th, at Irondale, the Vikings beat the Knights 25-12, 25-9, 25-14.

“After a tough weekend at the Lakeville tournament, it was a great week for us to get back on track. The end of the season is fast approaching and we need to start to get ready for playoffs,” said Viking head coach Kari Francis.

The two wins gave North Branch an 8-2 record in the NSC and a second place finish behind Totino-Grace (10-0). “We have had our ups and downs this season, but we are really focusing on ending the season strong,” Francis added.

The Vikings were scheduled to host Milaca in the the Section 7AAA Volleyball Tournament Wednesday, October 25.
