“This was a very close match throughout.  With a break of serve here or there this match would have been won by the Wildcats.  The team needs to do a better job of keeping the momentum on our side of the court,” said CL head coach Steve Otte.

1S Alyssa Lundberg won 7-5, 6-4.  “Alyssa matched up and played this girl very well.”

2S Kristen Dobosenski won 6-0, 3-6, 6-1.  “Kristen let the second set get away from her, but played a real strong and smart set in the third to pull out the win.”

3S Megan Corradi lost 3-6, 2-6.

4S Anne Sedlund lost 3-6, 2-6.

1DKate Boynton/Tracy Schneider won 6-3, 6-4.  “All I can say is that they are on a roll.”

2D Jess Olson/Christina Leaf lost 0-6, 0-6.

1S Lundberg lost 3-6, 4-6.  “Alyssa’s player kept her deep behind the baseline and took Alyssa right out of her game.  She played well but some of the breaks did not go her way.

2S Dobosenski lost 3-6, 1-6.  “Dobo played this girl better than she did the first time.  They had some nice long rallies.”

3S Caneday lost 1-6, 2-6.  “Michelle was matched up with a tough opponent who really moved her around.”

4S Sedlund won 7-5, 6-3.  “Ann did a really nice job just keeping the ball in play for this match.  She frustrated her opponent and it led to a win.”

1D Boynton/Schneider won 6-4, 7-6.  “These to continue to play well together.  Their matches are close, but they are strong on the points when they really need them.”

2D Olson/Corradi lost 2-6, 3-6. 

3D Leaf/Novak lost 4-6, 4-6.  “This match was very close.  The only difference was a break of serve.”
