Memorial services are Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 5:30 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji with Pastor John Omans officiating.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 28, 2007, at 6:30 p.m., at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, in Center City, with Pastor Craig Lundstad-Vogt officiating.
Jan, the daughter of Melvin and Gertrude (Johnson) Lindo, was born August 15, 1951, in St Croix Falls, Wis. Jan grew up on the family farm two miles south of Almelund. She attended Taylors Falls School, where she met her future husband in the class play of her junior year and graduated in 1969.
She married David Louis Rambow, of Taylors Falls, December 12, 1970, at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, in Center City. Together they lived in the Chisago Lakes area for many years where they raised two sons.
Jan was employed by Hazelden in Center City for 10 years, in Accounts Receivable.
In addition to her family, Jan enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, growing pumpkins, sewing, and in recent years enjoyed everything related to her grandchildren. Jan had a vast love for the outdoors. Planting flowers and vegetables in her garden were of top priority each year. This also included the annual pumpkin growing contest and party. During the deer hunting season she was always the valued cook who fed endless home-cooked meals to all the appreciative hunters.
To further their appreciation for the outdoors, in 1995 Dave and Jan bought acreage in Shevlin and moved into their new home in 1999. She worked at First National Bank Bemidji for three years followed by North Country Business Products, Inc. for the past six years. She held the position of Treasurer for Bear Creek Township for the past six years.
She is survived by loving husband, Dave; children: Ben (Melissa) Rambow, of Harris; Joe (Jennifer) Rambow, of Center City; five grandchildren: Audra and Elise Rambow, of Harris; Mason, Matthew and Kaili Rambow, of Center City; mother, Gertrude Lindo, of Chisago City; parents-in- law, Carlyle and Beatrice Klinke, of Shafer; sisters: Marlene (Dale) Abear, of Aitkin; LuAnne (Charlie) Cedergren, of St Joseph; brothers: Marvin (Kathy) Lindo, of Shoreview; Lowell (Kathy) Lindo, of Center City; sisters-in-law: Jean Rambow, of Lindstrom; Janice Klinke, of Blaine; brother-in-law, James (Patti) Klinke, of Taylors Falls; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Lindo.
