He was born September 21, 1922, in Minnesota. He served in World War II as a Staff Sergeant and MP.
He married Evelyn E. Klaus September 26, 1942. They moved to the Chisago area in 1959. They ran large potato farms until 1977. He then moved to Naples, Florida, until his death.
Floyd is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn E. Strobel.
Survivors include two sons: Ronald, of Naples, FL and Michael (Kellie), of Lindstrom, MN; two daughters: Sheryl (Rein) Tomis, of Naples, FL and Sheila Harrington, of Pittsfield, MA; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will be gathering at Michael Strobel's home (12179 355th St., Lindstrom) Sunday, February 18. Visitors welcome from 1-3 p.m. A private service will be held at the Fort Snelling Cemetery February 20, 2007.
