Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2007, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale, with Rev. Lloyd Melvie officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, in Lindstrom, at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
Marian Constance Finrud was born January 4, 1914, in Hartland, to Sever and Kari (Bothum) Hanson. She married Lawrence Finrud February 23, 1935, in Iowa.
She worked as a counselor at Hazelden, in Center City, for 10 years. While there, she was instrumental in setting up the family program. Marian also helped establish Al-Anon in southern Minnesota during the 1950s. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Lindstrom, and enjoyed winters in Fiesta Village, Texas.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Vivian (Glen) Combs, of Maple Lake; grandchildren: James (Kim) Combs of Fairhaven, Marilyn (Jeff) Nelson, of Annandale, and Gloria (Chris) Juetten, of Clearwater; great grandchildren: Jessica and Trevor Combs and Nicole Nelson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents; and eight brothers and sisters.
