Gerald W. Peterson, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on Bone Lake, in Scandia, July 2, 2007.

Born in St. Paul to Anton and Mary Peterson. He served in WWII in Europe with the Army Corps of Engineers. A general contractor, he worked in the family business of Anton Peterson & Sons.

He is survived by wife, Grace; daughters: Glennis and Genise; son, Tony; grandchildren: Justin (Emily) Kral, Emmy (Leif) Lundeen and Jessica; great-grandchildren: Hunter and Cole, and many other relatives and friends.

Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 12, at VFW Post #4210, 556 S.W. 12th Street, Forest Lake.

Cremation Society of MN is handling arrangements, 612-825-2435.
