Johnson's two first-half goals gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead. Centennial cut the lead to 2-1 with a late goal. Johnson completed the hat trick midway through the second half to stretch the lead back to two goals. Tyler Kari's goal with just minutes remaining put an exclamation point on the Panthers' impressive win.
"We played our typical game," said Panther head coach Steve Jones. "We got ahead early and played solid defense. Centennial didn't have more than two or three good scoring chances the whole game."
