He retired in 1993 from ANR Freight System after 30 years driving truck.
He is preceded in death by father Charles and stepfather Ray Petersen.
He is survived by wife Mary, mother Ave Petersen, of Jackson, Minn.; daughters: Susan (Tom) Payne, Teresa (Steve) Oehme, Sheri (Doug) Woodbeck; stepchildren: Michael (Yvonne) Haroldson, Chris (Kathy) Haroldson, Amy (Dave) Eaton and Eric Haroldson; brothers: Jim (Claudia) Stewart, Philip (Nancy) Petersen; and sisters: Pat (Bruce) Young and Tamera Erickson and seven grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be Friday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1760 4th Avenue East, in Shakopee. Private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers.
