Viking soccer girls suffer three conference losses
The Vikings lost to another one of the tough teams in the North Suburban conference, playing at Fridley Tuesday, September 4.

Hosting last year's North Suburban conference champion on Thursday, September 6, the Vikings fell 10-0. "They are an excellent team with great speed and fabulous communication," said Viking head coach Peter Grand.
The Vikings lost freshmen midfielder Alina Amunrud to a concussion. Amunrud had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Senior goalkeeper Cassie Saunders got her first 20 minutes playing time as a varsity goalie. This is Saunders' first year of playing soccer.
Robbinsdale Cooper 3, NB 1
Senior midfielder Kristen Robatcek scored the first goal for the Vikings this season, a beautiful shot from 25 yards out, in a 3-1 loss to the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks Monday, September 10 at Cooper.
"We kept the game close 'til the very end," said Viking head coach Peter Grand, "but were not able to create any great scoring opportunities during the second half. Our sophomore goalkeeper, Rikki Beaver, played another great game."
The Vikings play at Chisago Lakes today, Thursday, September 13, at 7 p.m. They'll head to Hermantown this Saturday, September 15 to take on the Hawks at 11 a.m. and will return home Tuesday to battle conference opponent St. Francis Tuesday, September 18 at 5 p.m.
