Quick studies: CL rugby team wins first ever tournament
A little over a month after they started practicing, the Chisago Lakes Spartans (Wildcats was already taken) won their very first tournament that they entered. The club team, coached by Tony Randall, Charles Miller and Rick Bouwens, earned two big wins in the first two games over Hastings and Minnetonka. In their last match of the day at the Rogers Tournament, they played Hopkins and the two squads ended the game in a 10-10 tie. The girls only have this experience to build on with more matches and tournaments to come. Check out next week's County Press for more info on their big win.
