North Branch senior Miranda Charley signed her letter of intent to attend Jamestown College in North Dakota.

Charley is the next in a growing list of Vikings who have moved on to become Jimmies. JJ Koerber is currently a junior on the mens cross country and track and field teams, and Jared Grams was breifly a part of the football and track and field teams for the Jimmies two years ago.

Charley, however, will carve her niche in basketball and track and field teams, where she received dual scholarships. She also received the Valedicatorian/Salutatorian Scholarship for being ranked number one in her class of 260 students.

Charley has been a part of the North Branch high school programs since she was in seventh grade. She is a multi-year letterwinner in track, cross country and basketball. She has earned numerous All-North Suburban Conference and All-North Suburban Conference Honorable Mention awards throughout her career on the track and court, but that's not all that Charley does.

She is also the Parliamentarian of National Honor Society, President of Student Council, Board Chair for Choir and the Excel State Recipient 2009 (North Branch's first ever. There is only about 30 students who are selected. Excel stands for Excellence in Community, Education, and Leadership). Charley is also a community volunteer in North Branch.
