Joyce was the daughter of Elmer and Olive (Berggren) Swenson, born March 24, 1930 in Panola, MN.
She was united in marriage to Merle Carl Sederstrom at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom.
Joyce made a point to be in church every Sunday and was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran. She loved flowers, planting and caring for her flower gardens. Joyce was a dancer enjoying going to local dance halls. In her later days she would go on bus tours seeing the sights.
Joyce is survived by her loving family: children Debra Hanson of Lindstrom, Tom (Liz) Sederstrom of Lindstrom, Randy (Cheryl) Sederstrom of Mahtomedi, Julie Maier of Lindstrom, Judy Elstad of Chisago City; special granddaughter Michele Sommer; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters Bobby Swenson of Chisago City, Donny Swenson of Lindstrom, Dick (Sherrill) Swenson of Center City, Peggy (Chuck) Bergquist of Lindstrom, John (Marcia) Swenson of Lindstrom, Jim Swenson of Center City and sister-in-law Gen Sederstrom of Forest Lake.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Merle, mother and father Olive and Elmer Swenson, grandson Cole; also preceded in death by special friend Don Johnson.
Casket Bearers are (grandsons) Donnie Hanson, Bobby Sederstrom, Joey Heasley, Mike Sederstrom, Nick Glenna and Tim Heasley.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Thursday Oct. 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lindstrom, with Clergy Lauren Wrightsman and Paul Bjorklund officiating. Visitation Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home and also held one hour before the service at the church. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom.
