Angel was born on January 22, 1977 in Indianapolis, Indiana and became an official Rhodes family member on April 5, 1980. After a courageous fight for her life and beating the odds set forth by medical doctors, that she would not survive past 13 years, she went home to live with Jesus and the Angels on Tuesday, March 24, 2010 at the age of 33.

Angel's family moved to Minneapolis in 1990. Angel received her certificate of completion in 1998 from Washburn Senior High School and attended workshop at Eastern Surburban Resource Center in Stacy, Minnesota until 2008. Angel was a woman full of joy, positive energy and a wonderful smile that will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Angel loved music and could move to the beat like no one else.

Angel leaves to cherish her memory her mother Verlina J. Rhodes; grandmother Alice O. Jones; brothers Robert E. Jr., Maurice and Stephen Rhodes, Stephen (Deborah) Sloan; sisters Cynthia Rhodes, Lillie Askew, Kimberly (Donald) Coleman, Rochelle and Kim Williams; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends.
