The 23-year veteran of the North Branch sidelines always has his distinguishable white towel draped over his shoulder as he prowls up and down the court shouting out instructions and encouragment.
So, it was only fitting that Schindler sent off his six seniors with their own personalized shoulder towels at the team's banquet last week. Each towel is emblazoned with the bright red NB of North Branch, as well as the girls name written out underneath.
It was a fitting end for a class that brought Schindler one game away from the state tournament last year, and played with pure heart and effort.
Other team awards handed out at the banquet were:
Most Valuable Player(s)
Sophomore Kendra Norman and senior Jessica Audette
Best Offensive Player
Best Defensive Player
Best Team Player
Seniors Laura Aho and Josie Forstrom
