Floyd L. Melander
Floyd was born, raised and lived in the Chisago City and Lindstrom area.
He is preceded in death by Edwin and Agnes Melander and grandson Michael Melander.
Floyd is survived by devoted wife of 70 years Myrtle; son Steven (Debra); daughters Onallee (John) Serier, and Michele (Ross) Rivard; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Floyd was a Master Electrician having started with his father, ran Melander Electric and worked for Honeywell for 40 years.
He and Myrtle loved to travel and wintered many years in Arizona.
Special thanks to Birchwood Care Center and Hospice for the compassionate and loving care.
A celebration of Floyd's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, 28005 Old Towne Road in Chisago City.
Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials are preferred.
