The LARA Dust Devils won fourth place in the Minnesota Recreational State Baseball Championships.

By winning the LARA Rookies division tournament at the end of June, the Dust Devils qualified for the Minnesota Recreational State Baseball Championships held in Fridley July 30 - August 1.

Over three days of competition, the Dust Devils had wins over Burnsville, Buffalo, and Fridley to advance to the final four, where they were defeated by tournament winner St. Paul Midway.

The fact that half the players on the Dust Devils are third graders made the run to the tournament finals even more special, since the other teams they played were made up almost exclusively of fourth graders.

The tournament was a great experience for all the kids on the team and gives them a big head start on next year's baseball season.
