Madelyn C. Hawkinson, of Chisago City died February 2 at Fairview Lakes Hospital at the age of 81.

Madelyn was born February 11, 1928 in Chisago City to Clarence and Ruth Holmgren. She graduated from Chisago City High School. On May 1, 1947 she married Everett Hawkinson. The couple had four children, sons Tom and Ron, daughters Nancy and Kathy. Madelyn had many good friends from Zion Lutheran Church and her 25 years of working at Parmly Nursing Home.

Madelyn was preceded in death by husband Everett and son Tom. Survived by son Ron (Mary), daughters Nancy (Wayne) Lussier, Kathy (John) Joachim, daughter-in-law Carol Hawkinson, 9 grandchildren, 11 and one expected great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Saturday, Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City. Private interment. Memorials suggested to Lewy Body Dementia Asso. (lbda.org)
