She was born Nov. 8, 1909 to William And Hilda Peterson in Shafer Township. Virginia is preceded in death by loving husband George, two Sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter JoAnn (Phil) Larson, four grandchildren Brad (Patty) Larson, Bethany (Larry) Schonhardt, Janna (Michael) LaFountaine, and Baird (Hilda) Larson, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Foster daughter Connie Madsen and her three children and her three grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews and many special friends.
Through the years Virginia enjoyed many hobbies. She has loved flowers and needlework.
She painted and sold many. She was a caterer for 25 years.
She has written many books of poetry, prose and family histories.
Many thanks to the caregivers at Parmly and Chisago County Hospice.
Funeral Services are 1 p.m. Thursday Jan. 7, 2010 at First Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls.
Visitation one hour prior to service at church.
Interment at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls.
Memorials are preferred to Parmly LifePointes or First Lutheran Church.
