Marian I. Wahlstrom, age 93, of Chisago City, Minnesota passed away July 28, 2010. She was born on the Linn farm in Lindstrom, Minnesota on August 20, 1916 to parents Joseph and Selma Linn, the youngest of 8 daughters. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, Minnesota, where her grandfather Carl (Lena Kaisa) Linn was a charter member. She never liked missing church and as a child went to church twice on Sundays, once in Swedish and once in English. Marian loved music and having people around her and also liked to arrive early for everything. She had been in all the 50 states and was a baker and liked to bake pies, cookies and krumkake.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents and her infant daughter Heidi. Marian is survived by sons David (Jeremy) and Richard (Linda) and daughter Marilyn Wahlstrom, special adopted daughter Gloria Peterson; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren, other relatives and friends and the many others that considered her grandmother and great grandmother.

Funeral Services 11 a.m. Saturday July 31, 2010 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City, Minnesota. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Center City, Minnesota. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Condolences may be left at www.grandstrandfh.com.
