Violet M. Hagstrom (nee: Barrigar), age 87, long time resident of Lino Lakes and Chisago Lakes area passed away peacefully June 9, 2010 at the St. Anthony Health Center in St. Anthony, MN

Violet was preceded in death by her father Isaac and mother Hattie Barrigar, her husband Carl, her brother Duane "Buck" Barrigar and infant son Karson Wayne. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Circle Pines, MN) and Randy (Siren, WI) also grandsons Mark Eric (Anchorage, AK), Greg Hagstrom (Cincinnati, OH), sister-in-law Gloria Barrigar, and loving friend Jan Ristau; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Violet was born on the family farm at Fox Lake, in Dakota County on May 27,1923 and moved to the Chisago Lakes area with her parents, where she met and married Carl Hagstrom and started a family. They lived in Lindstrom for many years until they moved to the Lino Lakes area. Violet worked and retired from Univac in St. Paul. She remained active for many years serving the Forest Lake VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She loved music, dancing, playing cards, and Also enjoyed playing piano, organ and the accordion.

Funeral services Tuesday, June 15 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom.
