Betty Ann Murrey, age 80 of Taylors Falls, Minnesota, died peacefully at home June 9, 2010.

She was born February 14, 1930 in Illinois. She enjoyed a wonderful life with her husband, Harry, and their children in Barronett, Wisconsin.

Her favorite things include worshipping God, anything Irish, spending time with her large family, and playing bingo, and poker. She was an avid knitter and created beautiful blankets and sweaters. She was also an active member of her church community.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Francis Edward Timothy Reiley O'Rourke (Florence Agnes) McCallen; her husband, Harry Lincoln Murrey; her son Harry Angus Murrey; her siblings, Jean Powers, Robert McCallen, and Louis Joseph McCallen; and her twin grandchildren Ashley Christine and Andrea Leigh. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Ellen Tarmichael; her children Timothy Murrey, Michael (Nancy) Murrey, Joseph Murrey, Robert Powers, Kathleen (Steve) Laqua, Mary (Ken) Zagzebski, Diane Murrey, Barbara (Bill) Madison, and Christine Murrey.

Betty was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She has touched our lives in numerous ways. Her contagious smile, laughs, and ongoing jokes will be remembered always. Betty's 27 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren will be forever touched by her love.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. Visitation Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom and one hour prior to the service at church.
