Kids Triathlon training still going at Fairview Medical Center in Wyoming on March 29
If you think a triathlon sounds like fun, but aren't sure what it's all about, don't worry. Fairview Health Services makes it easy. To help kids get ready for the triathlon, Fairview and Midwest Sports Events will host a free "Kids Tri Training" night at 7 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Fairview Lakes Medical Center, 5200 Fairview Blvd., Wyoming. Kids 12 and under, accompanied by a parent or guardian, are invited to attend Kids Tri Training. With the help of Fairview athletic trainer Deanna Nelson and Gloria West of Midwest Sports Events, you'll learn about the course, the equipment, how to practice for the event, healthy eating and staying safe. Light refreshments will be served.
Kids who sign up for the triathlon that night will receive a $5 discount on their triathlon registration fee, and door prizes will include a free triathlon registration and other prizes. At 6:30 p.m., preceding the Tri Training event, Fairview Lakes Community Health Outreach will offer discounted bike helmets for children and adults for only $5.
