Pearl was born July 8, 1929, in Taylors Falls, MN. She was 81 years 2 months.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Emma-Dorothea Broecker; brothers Floyd, Glen, Wayne and Dean Broecker.
She is survived by her sister Ruby Johnson and brother John Broecker of Lindstrom, MN. Pearl has many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her very much. Pearl graduated from Chi-High in Lindstrom in 1945 at the age of 16. She attended the Minnesota School of Business and became a Court Reporter for the Labor Conciliator, for the State of Minnesota. She enjoyed her career and traveled extensively. A cerebral hemorrhage caused Pearl to become partially paralyzed on her right side at the age of 27. She continued to work in a different area for the state until she became disabled and had to retire. Pearl married Jerry Prostka in 1965, the marriage ended in 1970. At the age of 57 Pearl became a resident at Inver Grove Heights nursing home and later resided at WB Care Center where she was cared for by a loving and caring nursing staff for 23 years.
Pearl is remembered as a loving, thoughtful and generous sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services were October 4, 2010 at Mattson Funeral Home in Forest Lake. Private interment at a later date.
