Verna G. Abrahamson (Frederickson) of Chisago City, MN died Thursday, September 9 at the St. Croix Regional Medical Center, at the age of 82.

Verna was born August 4, 1928 in Farmington Township, WI to Arthur and Gertrude Getschel. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1946. On January 5, 1949 she married Donald Frederickson. After Don's death she married Archie Abrahamson on February 6, 1982. Verna worked as a waitress in Lindstrom and as a home health aide for Chisago County. Verna was active in the Shafer Study club, Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, enjoyed gardening, handwork including sewing, knitting, crocheting and especially her family.

Verna was preceded in death by husbands Donald Frederickson, Archie Abrahamson and son Earl Frederickson. Survived by children Donna (Steve) Simmons of Eagan, Wayne (Lori) Frederickson of New Hope; step-children Randy (Melissa) Abrahamson of Grandview, Wi., Cyndy (Paul) Tubbs of Rush City; Daryl (Julie) Abrahamson of North Branch, Teresa (Curt) Carlson of Chisago City, sister Elva Boatman, grandchildren Adam (Andrea) Frederickson, Ashley (Nick) Gilbertson, Amanda (Kris) Guentzel, Heather (Steve) Tuhy, Gabrielle Carlson, Ashley Abrahamson, Quintin Carlson, Kaitlin Carlson, great-granddaughter Elliette Frederickson, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 13 at Chisago Lake Lutheran in Center City. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.grandstrandfh.com.
