Lorraine A. Peterson, age 86 of Chisago City, died September 22, 2010.

Born June 24, 1924 on a small farm in St. George, Minnesota. Moved to New Ulm, MN in her younger years. She went to Beauty School in Mankato, MN. She married Sherman Peterson on October 25, 1947 and raised six children in Bloomington, MN. They moved to Bemidji, MN in 1969 and then Winter Haven, FL for many years of golf and retirement. They moved to Chisago City in 2002 to be closer to family.

Lorraine was an avid golfer, beautician, a terrific wife and mother, sharing her love of laughter and music.

She is preceded in death by husband Sherman; son Mark; and brothers Clarence and Werner. Lorraine is survived by her children Robert (Carole) Peterson, Diane (Warren) Retzlaff, Barbara Peterson, Teri (Mark) Erickson, and Kim (Fred) Norman; 11 grandchildren Soren, Nick, Maren, Matthew, Nate, Taylor, Evan, Ben, Melissa, Sam and Max; great grandson, Jaren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were Sunday September 26, 2010 at Parmly LifePointes Chapel in Chisago City, MN. A private interment will be at Bernadotte Lutheran Church Cemetery, in her husband's home town of Bernadotte, MN.
