Richard W. Lasiuk, age 51 of Chisago City, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2011 in Afghanistan. Rick was born on August 14, 1959 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and grew up in Eau Clarie, Wisconsin. He was very generous and well liked by everyone, putting others before himself and also had a "major" sense of humor. Rick lived a very wonderful and exciting 51 years, visiting 101 different countries, and serving in 6 different wars. He worked hard and played hard, enjoyed golf, bowling and the Green Bay Packers. He loved the lake and boating.

Rick is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shawna; children Leah, Sarah, & Anna; parents Richard and Mary Ann Lasiuk of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; siblings Debbie Kazle, Jazz-ell, John (Rose), David, and Joanie (Craig).

Mass of Christian Burial 5 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom. Visitation from 2 p.m. till time of service at church.
