The North Branch tennis team continued its rough season by coming out on the losing end of another sweep.

Despite not playing well, according to Head Coach Chad Brusky, the Viking still had some chances to make it a closer match in the team score, but just couldn't finish off any of the close sets.

"This was not one of our best matches," he said. "We had a lot of close matches but still ended up 0-7. We had a real chance for most of the day to be 4-3 or even 5-2."

At second singles, Carl Fisk lost 6-2, 3-6, 10-8. At first doubles, Brandon Johnson and Devon Quam dropped their match 4-6, 5-7, and Ryan Jarvis and Eric Chilstrom lost 5-7, 2-6 at third doubles.

"We just couldn't win the big points when we needed to," Brusky said afterwards. "It is frustrating to watch the boys work so hard and see how just one or two points a set could have had a huge difference."

The Vikings continue searching for their first win of the season this week. They are set to take on Benilde-St. Margaret's today, April 28 at BSM. They will travel to Columbia Heights next Tuesday at 4 p.m. to take on the Hylanders.
