Joyce Leone Orpin, age 73 of Bismarck, Missouri and formerly of Lindstrom, MN, was born in Duluth, MN on October 2, 1937 to Leo and Violet Hamlin Lamirande. She departed this life, in her home with her family at her side, on March 24, 2011.

Joyce attended business college and was employed as a clerk typist for Ramsey County, MN. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Bismarck, Missouri. Joyce was united in marriage to Richard Orpin in Watertown, SD on July 27, 1970.

She is preceded in death by her step-son Mike Orpin; brother Robert Lamirande; sisters Ellinore Cloutier and JoAnn Hvomstad. Joyce is survived by her loving husband Richard; children Larry (Marlene) Cummings and Matthew (Brooke) Orpin; step-children Mark Orpin, Lisa (Connie Mack) Robinson, Bryan (Linda) Hagen; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters Dorothy (George) McCorison and Roberta Janetta; and brother Roger (Debbie) Culas.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom. Condolences maybe left at grandstrandfh.com.
