Bruce D. Carlson of Taylors Falls died suddenly, Sunday May 15 at his home, at the age of 74.

Bruce was born June 13, 1936 at Braham MN to Chester and Edith Carlson. He graduated from Braham High School in 1954. He served in the Minnesota National Guard out of Milaca. On December 14, 1963 he married Linda Bebensee at Braham. From August 12, 1964 to August 13, 1991 Bruce spent 27 years with the Minnesota State Patrol retiring as a Corporal. In his free time Bruce enjoyed reading, painting, woodworking, was active in church activities and especially his family.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Edith. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Denise (Martin) Mwangi of Hugo, David (Jennifer) Carlson of Andover, grandchildren Audrey and Tate Carlson, Sophia Mwangi, and sister Beverly (Bruce) Quiggle of Cottage Grove.

Funeral service Wednesday, May 18 at Kost Evangelical Free Church with Pastors Dean Paulson and Mark Severson, officiating. Interment was in the Kost Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.grandstrandfh.com.
