Brenna Coyle, a 2008 Chisago Lakes High School graduate, has been named ALL-MIAC after winning the hammer throw event and setting the MIAC conference meet record with a throw of 171' 5".

Coyle, a junior at Hamline University in St. Paul, has earned a birth in the NCAA, Division III National Outdoor Track and Field meet in Delaware, OH. She will compete in her event on Thursday, May 26.

Coyle participated in the shot put and discus throw for the Chisago Lakes Wildcats while in high school, but she has found a niche at the college level in the hammer throw.

In March of this year Coyle competed in the NCAA Division III Indoor track and field championships in the weight throw (an indoor version of the outdoor hammer throw).

Coyle is the daughter of Sharon Coyle of St. Paul and Brian Coyle of Chisago City.
