Banner season leads to cornucopia of awards

Here are a few interesting facts about this year’s team: •The Wildcats sent seven wrestlers to the state tournament this year -- they sent just seven wrestlers in total to the state tournament from 2002 through 2009. •Junior Quade Zupko appeared in his third straight state tournament, the first Wildcat wrestler to do so in over 20 years. •Eighth grader Kyle Schoenecker appeared in his second straight state tournament. •Chase Kammerer carries on a family tradition in winning the Mr. Inspirational award – his brother Travis won it the last four years.
