Ruby A. Shogren, age 78, of Lindstrom died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Croix Regional Medical Center in St. Croix Falls, WI.
Ruby was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on January 18, 1934 to parents, Eugene and Mina (Merritt) Moore.  She was just an infant when her family moved to the Lindstrom area where she attended school through the ninth grade, at which time she married Warren Shogren on October 25, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in Northwood, Iowa.  Ruby worked for KATZ Produce in St. Croix Falls for a few years and then spent nearly 27 years working as a Nursing Assistant at the Green Acres Nursing Home, North Branch.  Ruby was an avid bowler, loved her Minnesota Twins and enjoyed going to the casinos.  She liked crocheting, making her pickled pickles and tending to her garden.  Ruby was an inspiration to us all. She never judged anyone. She lived life until there was nothing left to give and she passed away with her family by her side.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 63 years, Warren; daughters, Karen (Larry) Gorby of Six Lakes, MI; Sharon (Dave) Nelson of Stanton, MI; Shirley Shogren of Blaine and Patty (John) Mattson of Shafer; sisters, Marce (Herman) Johnson of Center City; Nancy (Rick) Black of Lindstrom; Gloria (Emil) Kreifel of Gurnsey, WY; Judy Switzer of Lindstrom; Kathy Larson of Lindstrom and Myrna (Wally) Meade of Ramsey; brothers, Duane (Myrtle) Moore of Arizona; Eldwyn Moore of Pine City; Ronnie (Gerry) Moore of Cloquet; Doug (Jo) Moore of Stillwater and Donald Moore of Askov; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren with two more on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Donna and Sally.
