 G. W. (Bill) Zitelman, age 76 - Scandia, MN: February 6, 2012, Bill last walked on the surface of this world to walk in the world of those who passed before him; his father George, his mother Laura, and his wife Jane.
He leaves behind those who also shared his passion for life: his sister Judy (Bill) Combs, sons Scott (Kim),  and Bryan (Michelle); grandchildren Zac (Jami), Eric, Jennifer (Josh), many wonderful great-grandchildren, and his very special, caring friend, Christina Giorgi.  Bill received his degree in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from UW Stout.  He was a long time employee of Ford and the Bureau of Engraving.  Bill embraced life as a firefighter, scuba rescue diver, race car driver, pilot, Scoutmaster, inventor, boat captain, hunter and fisherman.  He was a friend and mentor to his family and will be missed beyond words.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials to the University of Wisconsin - Stout Scholarship Fund and/or Anoka-Ramsey Community College Scholarship Fund. Memorial service Sunday, February 12, noon to 4 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. www. grandstrandfh.com.
