2012 LARA Rookies Tourney a success

The 2012 Rookies Tournament was a great success. Eight teams participated in the eight week-season, culminating with a league-wide tournament last weekend. Fans cheered, coaches encouraged and motivated and players played the game the way it was meant to be played. The in-house league made up of third and fourth grade boys is the first experience for most of the boys pitching to opponents and playing with a hard baseball. The final tournament results were: 1st place - Team #7 coached by Dan Brown (pictured above) 2nd Place - Team #3 coached by Brian Romero (pictured top right) 3rd Place - Team #5 coached by Leif Thompson (pictured bottom right) LARA Rookies Coordinator Jim Gillach said, “A special thanks to all the coaches and parents who volunteered their time on behalf of these players!”
