David Wayne Hilger, 43, formerly of Shafer, MN, Resided in Texas. Lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident November 3 2012. Dave worked as a Teamster and 49r for Shafer Construction EJM and currently Michels. David was a hardworking individual who would always lend a helping hand in fixing or repairing things and of course enjoyed his motorcycle. As he took his journey through life, he touched many of us with a close of intellectual conversations and his boisterous nature. He never bolstered the credit that was given for his service to our country, as a decorated USN, he served on the US-Midway(CV-41) from 88-92, his highest award was the Navy and Marine Corps Medal. Served in Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Come to his Celebration of his life memorial service to be held at Wolf Creek Bar 2387 River Rd, St. Croix Falls, WI Sat Nov 10 starts noon Final military honors at Spooner Veteran Cemetery next week (date to be determined). Survived by his mother Grace (Tom) Haines, father Richard (Ann) Hilger, many brothers and sisters and extended family. In Lieu of flowers Memorials to Patriot Guards perferred.
