Stanley G. Harvey, age 87 of Lindstrom, on November 18, 2012. Stanley was born March 7, 1925 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to parents James and Mary Harvey. He was a WWII Naval Veteran, participated in landings at Normandy, Southern France, and Okinawa. He also received two Purple Hearts and Commendation for Bravery Medal. Stanley married Marcella in 1949 and spent 45 years as a heavy duty diesel mechanic and retired from Maple Grove School District in 1990 as a bus mechanic, and lived in Lindstrom for 22 years. He was a member of D.A.V. and a member of the VFW. Stanley enjoyed hunting, auto racing and old cars. He is preceded in death by parents; wife Marcella; brothers William, Joseph, & Paul; sister Dorothy. He is survived by daughter Marceline Carter; two grandsons; five great grandchildren; sisters Marceline and Mary; brother Donald. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
