Irene M. Carlson

Irene M. Carlson of Lindstrom died Wednesday April 3 at Fairview Lakes Medical Center at the age of 90.

Irene was born October 10, 1922 to Walter and Lillian Rydeen. She graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1941. On March 14, 1945 she married Wallace Carlson at Elim Lutheran church in Scandia. She served as the secretary for Wally Carlson Standard Oil for 24 years. In her free time Irene volunteered in the community and at church.

Irene is survived by her husband Wallace, daughter Gloria Klinefelter; sons Wade (Roxanne), James, Tim (Nancy); grandchildren Kelly Klinefelter-Lee, Michael Klinefelter, Julie Rahaim, Matthew Carlson, Ryan Carlson, Trisha Carlson, Angela Carlson, Rebecca Haywood, Renee Meyer; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters Elaine Jemelka and Lois Mallum.

Funeral services Tuesday, April 9 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials preferred www.grandstrandfh.com
