Eleanor Swanson Taylor

Eleanor "Ellie" Swanson Taylor was born on June 1, 1926 in Minneapolis to Gust and Theolinda Swanson. 

She was baptized and confirmed at Bethelem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.  She graduated from North High School in 1944.  Ellie worked as a secretary for the Star Tribune after high school and married Earl “Mick” Taylor in 1950.  They had three children, Linda, Mark and John “Jack”.  Ellie and Earl retired in Lindstrom and enjoyed many wonderful years there.  She died on April 11, 2013. 

Ellie is preceded in death by husband Earl “Mick”; and brothers Elmer (Jean), Arthur (Laura), and Einar Swanson.  She is survived by daughter Linda (Jim) Carlson; sons Mark (Cindy) and Jack (Janet); eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many other dear relatives and friends. 

Funeral Services 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom.  Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. 

Ellie will be forever remembered for her wonderful hospitality, cheerful spirit, and love of her Swedish heritage. Memorials are preferred.
