Carl Phillip Bobeck, age 61, of Lindstrom, Minnesota passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the VA Medical Center Palliative Care unit in Minneapolis after a two year battle with lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ernest and Stella (nee Glasby) Colburn; grandmother Agatha Wolkovic; mother Violet Bobeck; nephew Todd Tiedemann; aunts; uncles; friends. Carl is survived by his wife of 38 years Robin (nee Rogers); sons Aaron Bobeck and Sean Bobeck; granddaughters Samantha and Abigail Bobeck; father Phillip Bobeck; brother Bradley (Eva) Bobeck; sisters Phyllis Tiedemann and Renee Aronson; nieces Raelynn Tiedemann, Amber Aronson, Breanna Aronson and Jennifer Bobeck; nephews Danny Potter, Jimmy Donald, Robert Aronson; mother-in-law Bonnie Rogers; sisters-in-law Crystal (David) Androli; Gloria (Mark) Robotti; Gaye (Mark) Armstrong; brothers-in-law Bruce Rogers; Jason (Angela) Rogers; and friends. Carl was a Viet Nam War Veteran having enlisted in the Army, serving two tours in Viet Nam as a Communications Lineman from 1969 to 1971. He was employed at Buckbee Mears in St. Paul, MN for 14 years prior to his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the great outdoors, he loved feeding his neighborhood squirrels and birds, he loved his adopted pets, Hawg and Mr. Grey. He had “adopted” many of his son's friends over the years. He treated them like part of the family and they became his hunting and fishing buddies as well. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
