Chisago Lakes / North Branch robotics team participates in state championships at U of M

Team 3038 participated in the Minnesota State High School League/FIRST State Championships on Saturday at the University of Minnesota.

“All in all we are pleased. We came in ranked 25th and finished the day 22nd so it was nice to finish higher than we were initially ranked. It was a great experience and quite an accomplishment to be selected as one of the teams to participate. After all, there were 150 other teams sitting at home on Saturday," said Team Leader Becky Leuer.

What's next for the robotics team from Chisago Lakes-North Branch? Summer camp is coming up from June 11-14 at North Branch Area High School from 8:30-3:30 each. Students entering grades 9-12 at either North Branch or Chisago Lakes are invited to attend free of charge. According to Team Leader Scott Frischmon, "We are very excited for camp this year since we received a generous donation and are able to purchase the necessary equipment to build 3 fully functioning robots during the week."
