Orpha L. Hilde

Orpha L. Hilde age 85 of Lindstrom, died on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul surrounded by her loving family.

Orpha was born on June 13, 1928 to Obert and Lena Lomsdahlen in Hitterdal, MN. On June 6, 1945 Orpha married Harry Hilde, son of Honard and Amanda Hilde in Ulen, MN. She attended Hagen Township Country School and then went to Ulen High School. She is preceded in death by her parents and son in law Lawrence Parker.

She is survived by her husband Harry; children Kendall (Debbie) Hilde of Virginia, Vickie (John) Howard of Ramsey, Kevin of Chisago City, Kim Greene of St. Croix Falls, WI, Lisa Parker of Chisago City and Sandra Boudreau of Chisago City; 19 grandchildren Sheri (Dave), Jennifer (Corey), Melissa (Thor), Amanda (Ben), Kristopher, Andrew (Kim), Adam (Karen), Meghan, Jesse (Ruby), Ryan (Teresa), Jahnna, BJ (Melissa), Brandon, Lindsay (Joseph), Brittany (David), Keith (Kristen), Kasey, Krista (Billy), and Kate (Andy); 16 great grandchildren Ben, Alanna, Owen, Henry, Jake, Savanna, Harrison, Oliver, Kenny, Lennon, Delilah, Dayton, Malcolm, Aubrey, Braxton, Isabelle; brother Kermit (Doris) Lomsdahlen of Ulen and many nieces and nephews. Orpha enjoyed her family, friends, traveling and cooking for same.

She retired in 1986 from the Chisago Lakes Schools where she worked as head cook. The family wants you to know Orpha slid into heaven exhausted; but happy with a well worn body and lots of stories of adventure and fun times, as she never missed a party or family gathering of friends, family, and good food and lots of coffee.

Memorial services were Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom with Rev. Don Oldenberg officiating. Music was provided by Carol Peterson and Jon Ekstrom. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at church. A family interment will take place at the Bethlehem Church North Cemetery in Ulen.
