Ronald Robinson of Chisago City, formerly of Rush City, MN passed away July 30,  at the age of 88.

Ronnie was born December 30, 1925 to Elmer and Jessie (Emanuelson) Robinson. He attended school in Rush City and then served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific/Okinawa area. Following his honorable discharge from the military, he returned to Rush City and worked as a carpenter. For 20 years he owned two separate can milk routes, one with the Rush City Co-op Creamery and another with the Twin City Mill Producers Association. He worked for M&M Sanitation and Land O’ Lakes Creamery. He also farmed, and later retired from Hallberg Marine in Wyoming.

Ronnie loved the outdoors, whether he was farming, gardening or fishing. He also enjoyed traveling after retirement, particularly the many fishing trips to Canada and sharing his love of fishing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing cards, especially cribbage with family members.

He is survived by his wife Mildred “Millie” Robinson, children: Randy Robinson of White Bear Lake, Mike (Elaine) Robinson of Rush City, Jerry Robinson of Hudson, WI, Barbara Robinson of Champlin; grandchildren: Rachel (Joe) Gandsey of Otsego, Scott (Lynsey) Robinson of New Brighton, Sam (Brooke) Robinson of Chisago City, Lee Robinson of Rush City, Jeris (Jackie) Robinson of Albertville, Joe Robinson of Rush City, Jack (Yeni) Heinrich of Brooklyn Park, Brian (Deanna) Heinrich of Great Falls, MT; great grandchildren: Tyler, Anthony, Makenna, Brodey, Everly, Jerid, Jaden, Sonny; sisters: Shirley Adams of Albuquerque, NM, Arlene Dahlberg of Rush City, Sydney Robinson of Roseville, Katy Shumway of Rockville, MD; brother John (Carol) Robinson of St. Cloud, step-sons: Michael (Michelle) Hammel, Scott (Lynda) Hammel; seven step-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Jessie (Emanuelson) Robinson; wife Jean (Allen) Robinson; brother Raymond Robinson.

Reverend Laurie O’Shea officiated funeral services  Saturday, August 2 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation was one hour prior also at the Church. Casket Bearers were Ronnie's grandchildren: Rachel Gansdey, Scott Robinson, Sam Robinson, Lee Robinson. Jeris Robinson, Joe Robinson, Jack Heinrich and Brian Heinrich.

Military honors were provided by the Minnesota National Guard, Rush City American Legion Post #93 and the Grothe-Jacobson VFW Post #6692. Interment in the First Lutheran Cemetery, of Rush City.
