Elaine Elfstrom, of Shafer, passed away peacefully April 26, at the age of 87. Elaine was born January 16, 1927 to Fred and Gertrude (Getschel) Redlich of Nye, Wisconsin and graduated from Osceola High School in 1945. Elaine worked at West Publishing Co. before she married Earl Elfstrom on June 3, 1961 and then became an active partner on the family farm. In her spare time she loved to do crossword puzzles and be in her garden. 

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Russell Redlich, sister Adine Olson, brothers-in-law Burton Elfstrom and Charles Elfstrom, and sister-in-law Donna Succo. She is survived by her husband Earl and son Ron (Pam), her brother Vernon (Beatrice) Redlich, sisters Helen (Bob) Johnson and Irma Rom, brother-in-law Don Elfstrom, and sister-in-law Elaine Peterson, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Center City.
