Jerry was born on the family farm near North Branch on June 26, 1926 to parents, Hugo and Amanda (Olson) Anderson. He attended country school and eventually started working on the family farm and took it over in 1947. Jerry was a lifelong dairy and crop farmer until 1999 when he and Carol sold the farm and moved into North Branch.
He loved restoring old cars and tractors and was fond of the Ford brand as well as John Deere tractors.
He liked fishing, hunting and spending time at their cabin on Lake Superior. He married Carol Lund on September 19, 1947 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. Jerry will be remembered as a kind man with an everlasting smile.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol; sister, Gloria Wilcox of Mounds-view; nephews, Wylie Anderson and Charles Jackson; nieces, Judy Anderson, Wendy (Paul) Lindberg, Janet Wilcox, Cynthia Holmberg and Sharyl (Mike) Liebig. He is also survived by sister in law, Helen Anderson of North Branch.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Amanda and two brothers and five sisters.

Memorial services 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City with Rev. Craig Lundstad-Vogt officiating. Music by Marlene Whalstrom as organist and Jon Ekstrom serving as soloist. Interment followed the service at Hillside Cemetery in Center City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.
