Barbara Juanita Joy(Mattson)Kosloske passed away peacefully at her home with her husband and sister by her side following a 10 month journey with lung cancer on October 8, 2014 at the age of 75 years.  Born on July 11, 1939 Nita was the oldest of six children born to Philip and Frances Mattson.  She spent her childhood in Shafer, MN and graduated from Chi Hi in 1957.  Her early adult life and career was in the Twin Cities area working in various secretarial pools.

Nita is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers (Michael and Jerome Mattson).  She is survived by her husband Larry; daughter MiYon (Jeff) Richardson of Denver, CO and their two daughters Claire and Bailey to whom she loved being Nana; and son John (Rhonda) of Omaha, NE.  She is also survived by brothers Joseph of Taylors Falls and Ross of Wausau, Wi; and her only sister Arlana Strand of Lindstrom; two sisters-in-law (Mary Anne and Yvonne) and one brother-in-law(John); nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family and friends in the many places they have lived and traveled.
